Moments of Our Lives

7:01 AM

Ah. Still enjoying the feel of sweet liberty. Huia is almost empty. Everyone has either gone back home to be with their families. Or holidaying some place where it isn't freezing. But, I must say, that being one of the few left behind ones, things aren't all dull and gloomy. We have the common rooms on ALL floors to ourselves. AND, there're DVD players on a couple of floors too. Yesterday, we watched Kill Bill and then spent the next few hours talking about nothing and everything. Human beings are social creatures.

Melitta, Zhang and I went to KMart today where we spent hours looking for good bargains to refurbish our rooms. The meal plan has also officially ended for me so I actually bought some cooking hardware, coz, believe it or not, I have to start cooking for myself or starve to death. There's, ofcourse, always the option to buy stuff but there's a limit to eating out. And a price. And speaking of prices, Mel and I went berserk, trying to purchase as much hardware as we could coz we had the convenience of Zhang's (friend's) car this time around and weren't shopping in the city. If you live in Auckland, you'd know how the price of stuff fall drastically as you move further from the city center. It's up to you to take advantage of it... And just that we did.

Heh. Come to think of it, today was pretty awesome actually... Later at night, Bobbie, Joanna, Mel and I played Monopoly and cho dai dee in the common room on the 2nd floor and made a ruckus. Noisy!!! It was perfect, esp since the noise ban was lifted following the end of the examination period. And just like old times with my family and friends back home, monopoly was real fun. It brought out the worst in everyone. Like how I discovered that I revert so much to a very Malaysianized accent when I'm into the game and despite the embarassment, I never held back. Gosh. I am SO malaysian. Joanna's super competitiveness prevailed as looks of hatred washed past her face everytime Bobbie collected compensation from the rest. And Bobbie's inner sadistic nature seemed to have unveiled itself. Perhaps, the least sore loser was Melitta, who gracefully exited the game first. LOL. Hillarious.

Pictured here, Bobbie in his winning streak And me in my losing one.... Observe the look of disdain on Joanna's
face. Scheming little twit.... LOL

Low and Behold, the winner of the Chinopoly dynasty. You can almost sense the combative spirit in his eyes.

All those red little hotels were his.

I have officially moved to room 426. Handed over my key two days back as well as my sheets which they claimed needs to be bleached. As of now, I am embarking on a room refurbishing project.

A couple of days ago, a couple of people threw a friend a surprise bday party. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Joanna, all surprised...

Why the frown???

With the rice cooker we shared and bought for her....

Aww. so sweet! Lara n Brian before the surprise.... Dimi feels like playing matchmaker now....

Melitta n me, before the surprise......

All the guys standing in a row....

The hand game tht we played after the surprise..... I was convinced tht this game gave the guys an extra edge coz it was very......err.....intellectual???

Uhm. Did I say intellectual??? Ok... I take that back... LOL

I will now leave you with cute images of us... Bobbie loaned me this jumper via Joanna. What they both don't know is, I'm never giving it back. Mwahahhahaahah!
