The Pyramids of We-sa

5:13 AM

Doctors give patients a number of thing. We give them medicine, we give them advice and, most of the time, we give them our undivided attention. But, by far, the hardest thing you can give a patient is the truth. The truth is hard. The truth is awkward and very often the truth hurts. I mean, people think they want the truth. But do they really? - Greys Anatomy, Season 4

You know when the truth sucks the most?? When u need to tell it and you know it's going to hurt the person you're telling it to. I experienced that yesterday. Except, I didn't really tell the truth. I kinda stretched it to make it sound less hurtful.

Anyways, met up with Cassie and Cassie's friend, Sii Ying and Shalene for lunch at Sunway Pyramid today. Here's where we went. You're probably gonna see a copy of some of the pics on Cassie's blog coz I copied off some of the pictures from her camera.

Nice!

Cassie and Sii Ying

Me and Sha

It was SO good to Shalene again after not seeing her for such a LONG time. And she's studying back here, so this is definitely not going to be the last time I'll be meeting up with her before I leave for Auckland (.........in less than 40 days!!!!!!) Cassie seemed extra adorable today as well. We were enlightened with psychology talk amidst other interesting conversational subjects. And then the food, yum!

I ordered fish rolls without realizing that it came with rice, didn't eat the rice - yes, I've heard about the children in Africa.

Sii Ying's food, she finished her rice.....

Cassie's club sandwich + spaghetti

Sha's grilled cheese sandwiches - she was on a vegan diet....

Banana, walnut, caramel waffles!!! Sharing is caring.....
Sii Ying rushed off to the gym after that, leaving Sha, Cass and I to catch up, just like old times. After we were sick of resting our laurels on the plush seats, we decided to walk around. Went around looking for flats (which I desperately want and feel I NEED) amongst other things. We stopped to camwhore every now and then. And I discovered (sadly) that I was running out of splurge money. Just the other day I got lectured on how I spend money without thinking twice. Yes, this is unfortunately true. Anyways, because I highly likely will not be able to get some of the things that I really want, I am pretty grateful that my birthday's looming. So, here's my list. Yes, you are free to combine my going away gift with my birthday gift, I'm being nice this year coz I'm in a pleasant mood.

The three of us.... in front of Nose

Cassie and Sha
Me and Cass, my fav pic for the day........
1. Sony Cybershot camera to replace my old one - I've hinted one too many times to Sha and Cass that the rotaractors should come together and share their funds in purchasing me one of these babies for being such an awesome president.

2. Flats. Comfortable pretty ones with little details. I'm a size eight and sometimes seven fits.
Since I'm too poor to purchase the ones from Nose, I highly recommend that you get them from there. I am high maintanence. Period.

3. A very adorable looking journal to replace my old one which is sadly running out of pages due to the overwhelming amounts of emotions I've been going through these past couple of months.

4. Anything hand made! I appreciate creativity. I think hand made pressies are the sweetest.

5. Those magnetic thingies lee hua has from Home Deco. (Ask Leez if confusion arises)

6. Music cds. Please please burn me a cd with all my fav tracks on it. I will love you for it! Ask me what my fav tracks are and I will willingly, unbashedly reveal them to you.

7. An everything and anything you need to know book about Auckland (....not New Zealand) city.

8. Stuff that'll make me smile/be reminded about home. (....not a flag please)

9. Lip balms/body products. I'm in love with these. I think I could collect them. ANything that smells good turns me on.

10. A purse. Preferably one that fills up with money by itself. I want a long one this time. Not those short ones. The ones that don't require you to fold up your notes.

Hmmm. I'll end it at ten. So, Nirmal's baaaaaaack! And lee hua's baaaaaaaack! And conference is nearing. So I foresee more hanging out. Gosh. I am so loving my life right now. Apart from the telling the truth part.

The truth is painful. Deep down, nobody wants to hear it, especially when it hits close to home. Sometimes we tell the truth because the truth is all we have to give. Sometimes we tell the truth because we need to say it out loud to hear it for ourselves. And sometimes we tell the truth because we just can't help ourselves. Sometimes, we tell them because we owe them at least that much.

You know you love me!
xoxo
